The NXP1302AUK brings proven design with such features as cloning, scan, selectable color LED, second PTT, built-in VOX, long battery life and renowned Kenwood audio. These compact 2-watt ProTalk radios have been expertly engineered to satisfy the toughest job requirements, in all conditions, thanks to MIL-STD 810 & IP54/55 weatherproofing.

 

Make use of the unique Second PTT feature by giving different instructions to different staff as the radio allows the use of main channel plus another channel. This feature can be programmed to allow transmission on a second channel without actually switching channels, by pushing the PTT button to engage the second channel.  This type of "dual transmit" feature is very useful in work environments where separate communications can be relayed to different groups on different channels at the push of the PTT button

 

A large 7-color LED indicator on the top panel illuminates to notify multi-status functions.

 

Customize the radio programming one time and use the optional Cloning Cable to rapidly program groups of ProTalk radios with the same settings.

I like the design of this radio, the way it fits well in the hand but isn’t too large or too small. It doesn’t feel like it will break even with being so compact. It has an outstanding five watts of power and can withstand all kinds of weather, making it perfect for use on a golf course among maintenance workers and landscapers, or in other large work sites.
