EC1 includes the KW3 charging cup. The adjustable tie-down strap will properly secure radios of different heights or a battery only.
The EC1M-KW3 includes a charging cup that makes it compatible with NiCD and NiMH batteries for Kenwood Models:
NX220, NX320, NX420, NX3200, NX3220, NX3300, NX3320, NX3400, NX3420, TK2160, TK2170, TK2360, TK3140, TK3160, TK3170, TK3173, TK3360. For use with NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion, and LiPo batteries. Compatible with KNB-68LC (IS battery). Not compatible with KNB-79LC (IS battery).

Advanced charging technology prevents over-charging and swap-able charging pods maximize compatibility. Endura chargers utilize many different pods in order to charge up to hundreds of different two way radios. The charging pods are replaceable allowing the EC1 to be updated to charge newer radios.
The EC1 has a compact footprint and provides a few upgraded features over TWC1, a faster charge rate with hot and cold battery monitoring. When a battery is placed in an EC charger, the Status LED confirms normal charging, full charge, battery fault, or battery advisement.
